Physical Education
At Mooroopna North Primary School, we know that physical education is key to fostering healthy, active lifestyles. Our PE program combines fun and engagement, providing students with a range of activities and specialised equipment that caters to all interests and abilities.
A Wealth of Equipment
Our students have access to a fantastic selection of physical education gear, including class sets for modified hockey, golf, tennis, football, and cricket. With such a variety, every child has the opportunity to discover their passion for sport!
Bikes in Schools
Safety meets fun with our "Bikes in Schools" program. Each student gets paired with a bike or scooter, learning vital road safety skills while developing a love for cycling. This initiative not only promotes fitness but also encourages responsible behaviour on the road.
Skill Development in Games
We prioritise teaching essential skills in our PE curriculum, covering techniques like swinging, hitting, kicking, catching, and dodging. This hands-on approach ensures that all students build confidence and competence in their sporting abilities.
Exciting Sports Events
To foster a sense of community and friendly competition, we regularly participate in sports events with other local schools. Our fun run and athletics days are standout events on the school calendar, allowing students to showcase their skills and enjoy teamwork.
Emotional Focus in Sports
We’re excited to collaborate with My Future Academy, welcoming a visiting teacher who brings an emotional focus to sports. This program helps students understand the importance of emotional well-being, promoting resilience, teamwork, and self-esteem.
At Mooroopna North Primary School, physical education is about more than just sports; it’s about building skills, friendships, and a foundation for a healthy future.
