Inquiry

Inquiry at MNPS engages students in asking and answering questions about the world we live in.  A common topic is explored each term across the whole school, with students engaged in learning activities appropriate to their stage of development.

Learning in Inquiry is planned across the main curriculum areas of the humanities and STEM: Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics.  The Arts and Health also come into Inquiry.

Creative and critical thinking is emphasised throughout a range of engaging experiences and hands-on learning opportunities.

In the junior class weekly play-based learning activities, planned around the inquiry topic help students practise social, emotional and communication skills while exploring their developing understandings through play.
